Desferal side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from ITALY on Dec 29, 2008. Male patient, 34 years of age, was diagnosed with thalassaemia, iron overload and was treated with Desferal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, bronchoalveolar lavage, bronchoscopy, dyspnoea, eosinophilic pneumonia, fatigue, interstitial lung disease, respiratory disorder. Desferal dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FOSAMAX. Patient recovered.
