Desferal Side Effects Report #4885822-5
Desferal side effect was reported by a Physician from GERMANY on Feb 29, 2000. Male patient, child 8 years of age, weighting 35.27 lb, was diagnosed with iron metabolism disorder and was treated with Desferal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, arrhythmia , asthenia, cough, deafness neurosensory, electrocardiogram abnormal, electrocardiogram ambulatory abnormal, fundoscopy abnormal. Desferal dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BLOOD TRANSFUSION. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, circulatory collapse, cough, dyspnoea, hyperthermia, hypoxia, inflammation, influenza serology positive, interstitial lung disease. Desferal dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with STILNOX, SPECIAFOLDINE, DIFFU K, GRANOCYTE, LEVOTHYROX, OFLOCET, ORELOX, AUGMENTIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 04/11/2005.
