Desferal Side Effects Report #6047129-2
Desferal side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 13, 2009. Male patient was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Desferal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, anaemia, back pain , blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood glucose increased, chest pain , cholelithiasis, debridement, dermal cyst. Desferal dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with EXJADE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, abdominal wall haemorrhage, alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood amylase increased, blood bilirubin increased, blood creatinine increased, blood glucose increased. Desferal dosage: 1000 MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with FAMOTIDINE, GLYCERON, URSO, LEVOTHYROXINE, CRAVIT, DIFLUCAN, PREDONINE. Patient died on 04/28/2008.

Desferal dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BLOOD AND RELATED PRODUCTS, ASCORBIC ACID. Patient recovered.
