Demerol side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Aug 31, 2005. Female patient, 33 years of age, was diagnosed with renal pain and was treated with Demerol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, convulsion, cyanosis, dyspnoea, foaming at mouth, nausea , pallor. Demerol dosage: 75 MG INJ. Patient recovered.

Demerol side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Oct 05, 2006. Female patient, 48 years of age, was diagnosed with pain , bronchitis  and was treated with Demerol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chest pain , dyspnoea, nausea , urticaria. Demerol dosage: 50 MG, ONCE, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CEFTRIAXONE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, convulsion, dyspnoea, syncope vasovagal. Demerol dosage: 50MG X1 DOSE IV. During the same period patient was treated with PROPOFOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 69 years of age, weighting 220.5 lb, was diagnosed with abdominal pain  and was treated with Demerol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, agitation, confusional state, dyspnoea, heart rate increased, respiratory rate increased. Demerol dosage: 50MG STAT IV. During the same period patient was treated with PHENERGAN, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, LISINOPRIL, ATENOLOL, SIMVASTATIN, CIMETIDINE, ASPIRIN, FLOMAX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
