Demerol side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Dec 28, 2006. Male patient, 92 years of age, weighting 143.0 lb, was diagnosed with preoperative care and was treated with Demerol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure increased, depressed level of consciousness, tremor. Demerol dosage: 50 MG IV X 1 DOSE. During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN, ALTACE, FLOMAX, LOPRESSOR, LOVASTATIN, PEPCID. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, cheyne-stokes respiration, cold sweat, dehydration, depressed level of consciousness, emphysema, loss of consciousness, miosis. Demerol dosage: 25-50 MG Q1H PRN IV BOLUS. Patient recovered.
