Female patient, 37 years of age, weighting 204.0 lb, was diagnosed with pain  and was treated with Demerol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, amnesia, confusional state, convulsion, dysarthria, gallbladder operation, grand mal convulsion, head injury, impaired driving ability. Demerol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PHENERGAN. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 69 years of age, weighting 220.5 lb, was diagnosed with abdominal pain  and was treated with Demerol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, agitation, confusional state, dyspnoea, heart rate increased, respiratory rate increased. Demerol dosage: 50MG STAT IV. During the same period patient was treated with PHENERGAN, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, LISINOPRIL, ATENOLOL, SIMVASTATIN, CIMETIDINE, ASPIRIN, FLOMAX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
