Deferoxamine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA on Nov 17, 2006. Female patient, 51 years of age, was diagnosed with iron overload and was treated with Deferoxamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bone debridement, erythema, exophthalmos, eye swelling, mass, mucormycosis, nasal mucosal disorder, nodule, orbital oedema. Deferoxamine dosage: unknown. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthritis , atelectasis, blood urine present, c-reactive protein increased, erythema, haemoglobin decreased, henoch-schonlein purpura, hypertension, intussusception. Deferoxamine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DEFEROXAMINE MESYLATE, PREDNISOLONE, CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, RED BLOOD CELLS, DEFERIPRONE. Patient was hospitalized.
