Deferoxamine Side Effects Report #5879041-3
Deferoxamine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from FRANCE on Sept 08, 2008. Male patient, 40 years of age, was diagnosed with iron overload, sideroblastic anaemia and was treated with Deferoxamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, biopsy liver abnormal, bone marrow transplant , cardiac failure congestive, cardiomyopathy , disease recurrence, dyspnoea, ejection fraction decreased, hepatitis c . Deferoxamine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DEFEROXAMINE MESYLATE, DEFERIPRONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: caesarean section, congestive cardiomyopathy, dilatation ventricular, dyspnoea, ejection fraction decreased, electrocardiogram t wave inversion, fatigue, gallop rhythm present. Deferoxamine dosage: 50 MG/KG 5 DAYS/WEEK. During the same period patient was treated with DIGOXIN. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: caesarean section, congestive cardiomyopathy, dilatation ventricular, dyspnoea, ejection fraction decreased, electrocardiogram t wave inversion, fatigue, gallop rhythm present. Deferoxamine dosage: 50 MG/KG 5 DAYS/WEEK. During the same period patient was treated with DIGOXIN. Patient recovered.
