Deferoxamine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED ARAB EMIRATES on Nov 10, 2008. Male patient, child 11 years of age, was diagnosed with thalassaemia beta, prophylaxis, congestive cardiomyopathy and was treated with Deferoxamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arrhythmia What is  arrhythmia, atrial flutter, cardiac failure congestive, congestive cardiomyopathy, ejection fraction decreased, serum ferritin increased, treatment noncompliance, type 1 diabetes mellitus, ventricular internal diameter abnormal. Deferoxamine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FOLIC ACID, PENICILLIN, DIGOXIN, FUROSEMIDE, LISINOPRIL, CARVEDILOL, AMIODARONE, WARFARIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Deferoxamine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from FRANCE on Sept 08, 2008. Male patient, 40 years of age, was diagnosed with iron overload, sideroblastic anaemia and was treated with Deferoxamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, biopsy liver abnormal, bone marrow transplant What is  bone marrow transplant, cardiac failure congestive, cardiomyopathy What is  cardiomyopathy, disease recurrence, dyspnoea, ejection fraction decreased, hepatitis c What is  hepatitis c. Deferoxamine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DEFEROXAMINE MESYLATE, DEFERIPRONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
