Deferasirox side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Sept 16, 2008. Male patient, child 10 years of age, weighting 52.91 lb, was diagnosed with iron overload and was treated with Deferasirox. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: brain oedema, dyskinesia, escherichia bacteraemia, eyelid oedema, eyelid ptosis, facial palsy, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, heart sounds abnormal. Deferasirox dosage: 750 MG ALTERNATING WITH 1 G DAILY PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
