Decitabine side effect was reported by a Physician from THAILAND on Feb 22, 2008. Male patient, 77 years of age, weighting 147.7 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Decitabine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: caecitis, cardiac arrest , metabolic acidosis, sepsis . Decitabine dosage: 25 MG, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISOLONE, AMLODIPINE, FOLIC ACID, ATIVAN, SENNOKOT. Patient died on 02/12/2008.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, caecitis, diarrhoea, haemoglobin decreased, haemorrhage intracranial, hypotension, liver function test abnormal, neutropenia, prothrombin time prolonged. Decitabine dosage: 15 MG/M**2; Q8H; IV. During the same period patient was treated with DEFEROXAMINE MESYLATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 03/22/2007.
