Decitabine Side Effects Report #5302025-0
Decitabine side effect was reported by a Physician from CANADA on Mar 29, 2007. Female patient, 77 years of age, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Decitabine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, blood lactic acid increased, clostridial infection, colitis ischaemic, hypotension, international normalised ratio decreased, large intestine perforation, necrotising colitis. Decitabine dosage: 20 MG/M**2; QD X5DQ28D; IV. During the same period patient was treated with DESFERAL, DIURETICS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/04/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, haemoglobin decreased, neutropenia, pneumonia , pneumonitis, thrombocytopenia. Decitabine dosage: 28 MG, IN 1 DAY, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FLUCONAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

Decitabine dosage: 20 MG/M2, 1 IN 1 DAY, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with COREG, DIGOXIN, DIOVAN, ASPIRIN, PROTONIX, CILOSTAZOL, LIPITOR, PROCRIT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
