Daptomycin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Apr 30, 2007. Male patient, 80 years of age, weighting 198.4 lb, was diagnosed with necrotising fasciitis and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: rash . Daptomycin dosage: 540 MG ONES A DAY IV DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with FINASTERIDE, ASPIRIN, DIGOXIN, OXYCODONE, PANTOPRAZOLE, LISINOPRIL, HYDRALAZINE, METOPROLOL SUCCINATE. Patient recovered.

Daptomycin dosage: 500MG IV. During the same period patient was treated with DIFLUCAN, ALBUTEROL, ZOSYN, FENTANYL, VANCOMYCIN, CASPOFUNGIN. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 36 years of age, weighting 224.4 lb, was diagnosed with dermatofibrosarcoma, malignant tumour excision, postoperative wound infection and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: eosinophil count increased, haemodialysis, rash . Daptomycin dosage: 600 MG Q48 HOURS IV. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROXYZINE, LEXAPRO, TRAZODONE, SENNA, PANTOPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
