Daptomycin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Feb 23, 2007. Female patient, 25 years of age, weighting 240.3 lb, was diagnosed with staphylococcal bacteraemia and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: erythema, pruritus. Daptomycin dosage: 650 MG DAILY IV. During the same period patient was treated with NAFCILLIN, CIPROFLOXACIN, ENOXAPARIN, WARFARIN, MORPHINE, PROMETHAZINE, TRAZODONE, DOCUSATE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: pruritus, rash macular. Daptomycin dosage: DAPTOMYCIN 4MG IV QD. During the same period patient was treated with CEFEPIME. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 48 years of age, weighting 202.8 lb, was diagnosed with ligament operation, postoperative infection and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: eye swelling, mouth ulceration, pallor, pharyngolaryngeal pain, pruritus, rash erythematous, rash macular, skin exfoliation. Daptomycin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DAPTOMYCIN CUBIST, VANCOMYCIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
