Daptomycin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Nov 21, 2005. Male patient, 65 years of age, weighting 207.2 lb, was diagnosed with endocarditis , endocarditis enterococcal and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: eosinophilia, haemodialysis. Daptomycin dosage: 500 MG IV Q48 H. During the same period patient was treated with AMPICILLIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 36 years of age, weighting 224.4 lb, was diagnosed with dermatofibrosarcoma, malignant tumour excision, postoperative wound infection and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: eosinophil count increased, haemodialysis, rash . Daptomycin dosage: 600 MG Q48 HOURS IV. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROXYZINE, LEXAPRO, TRAZODONE, SENNA, PANTOPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 84 years of age, weighting 198.9 lb, was diagnosed with cellulitis  and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, haemodialysis. Daptomycin dosage: 500 MG Q24H IV DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with ZOSYN, VANCOMYCIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Patient recovered.
