Daptomycin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Feb 23, 2007. Female patient, 25 years of age, weighting 240.3 lb, was diagnosed with staphylococcal bacteraemia and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: erythema, pruritus. Daptomycin dosage: 650 MG DAILY IV. During the same period patient was treated with NAFCILLIN, CIPROFLOXACIN, ENOXAPARIN, WARFARIN, MORPHINE, PROMETHAZINE, TRAZODONE, DOCUSATE. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 76 years of age, weighting 147.0 lb, was diagnosed with enterococcal infection, osteomyelitis and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: erythema, tremor. Daptomycin dosage: 420 MG IV X 1 DOSE. During the same period patient was treated with LOVENOX, LANSOPRAZOLE, ATENOLOL, SPIRONOLACTONE, MOXIFLOXACIN. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 53 years of age, weighting 154.1 lb, was diagnosed with arthritis bacterial and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blister, erythema, oral mucosa erosion, pain , pigmentation disorder, rash , skin exfoliation, skin ulcer, xerosis. Daptomycin dosage: 300MG Q48H IV BOLUS. During the same period patient was treated with AZTREONAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
