Daptomycin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on May 06, 2008. Male patient, weighting 191.4 lb, was diagnosed with enterococcal infection and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: eosinophil count increased. Daptomycin dosage: 500MG Q 24 HOURS IV; 330MG Q 24 HOURS IV. Patient recovered.

Daptomycin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Jan 24, 2007. Male patient, 55 years of age, weighting 199.5 lb, was diagnosed with endocarditis enterococcal and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dialysis , eosinophil count increased, nephritis interstitial, renal failure acute. Daptomycin dosage: 500MG (= 5.5 MG/KG) IV Q24HR. During the same period patient was treated with GENTAMICIN SULPHATE, CEFEPIME, VANCOMYCIN, IODAXANOL CONTRAST DYE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 36 years of age, weighting 224.4 lb, was diagnosed with dermatofibrosarcoma, malignant tumour excision, postoperative wound infection and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: eosinophil count increased, haemodialysis, rash . Daptomycin dosage: 600 MG Q48 HOURS IV. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROXYZINE, LEXAPRO, TRAZODONE, SENNA, PANTOPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: eosinophil count increased, haemodialysis. Daptomycin dosage: 500 MG Q48H IV POST-HEMODIALYSIS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
