Daptomycin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Feb 10, 2005. Female patient, 62 years of age, weighting 149.9 lb, was diagnosed with staphylococcal bacteraemia and was treated with Daptomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood iron decreased, blood test abnormal. Daptomycin dosage: 420 MG (8.4ML) IN NACL 0.9% IV @ 100ML/HR X 1 HR QD. During the same period patient was treated with DOCUSATE, ESOMEPRAZOLE, BENZOCAINE LOZENGE, HYDROCODONE BITARTRATE, IBUPROFEN, REGULAR INSULIN, TEMAZEPAM, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
