Dantrium Side Effects Report #5213001-0
Dantrium side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 05, 2007. Male patient, 44 years of age, weighting 300.0 lb, was diagnosed with neuroleptic malignant syndrome, hypertension, schizoaffective disorder and was treated with Dantrium. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, anoxic encephalopathy, apnoea, aspiration, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, brain damage, cardiac arrest
, cardio-respiratory arrest. Dantrium dosage: 116 MG EVERY 6HR, IV NOS ; 50 MG TWICE DAILY ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with NORVASC, CLOZAPINE, ATENOLOL, CLONAZEPAM, GLIPIZIDE, BROMOCRIPTINE MESYLATE, INSULIN, GLUCOPHAGE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, condition aggravated. Dantrium dosage: 80 MG TWICE DAILY, IV NOS. During the same period patient was treated with FAMOTIDINE, CEFOTIAM HYDROCHLORIDE, VITAMEDIN CAPSULE, VISCORIN, FLAVITAN, PARLODEL, DIAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Dantrium dosage: 40 MG. During the same period patient was treated with VEGETAMIN A, GOODMIN, ROHYPNOL, TOLEDOMIN, LEXOTAN, PENTAZOCINE LACTATE, PENTAZOCINE LACTATE. Patient recovered.
