Dacogen Side Effects Report #5130168-3
Dacogen side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Sept 28, 2006. Male patient, 76 years of age, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Dacogen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chills, dyspnoea, haemoglobin decreased, haemolysis, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, neutropenia, platelet destruction increased, pneumonia , sepsis . Dacogen dosage: 20 MG/M2; QD; IV. During the same period patient was treated with EXJADE, CYMBALTA, GLUCOVANCE, DIOVAN HCT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 67 years of age, weighting 180.0 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, antiemetic supportive care and was treated with Dacogen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, asthenia, blood count abnormal, chills, discomfort, hot flush, joint swelling, lip swelling, muscle spasms. Dacogen dosage: RECEIVED 4 CYCLES COMPLETED 1 FULL CYCLE INTRAVENOUS 20 MG/M2, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with DECADRON, LOTREL, PROCRIT, ACETAMINOPHEN. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 57 years of age, weighting 268.0 lb, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia and was treated with Dacogen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chills, dyspnoea, fatigue, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, hyperhidrosis, hypophagia, leukaemic infiltration pulmonary, malaise. Dacogen dosage: 50 MG, 1 IN 1 DAY, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with BACTRIM DS, ETOPIDE, FOSINOPRIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/06/2008.
