Cytoxan Side Effects Report #4543527-4
Cytoxan side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Dec 30, 2004. Female patient, 54 years of age, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, sepsis  and was treated with Cytoxan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cerebral haemorrhage, disseminated intravascular coagulation, hypotension, multi-organ failure, neutropenia, oliguria, pyrexia, sepsis . Cytoxan dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with XIGRIS. Patient died on 10/06/2004.

Male patient, 69 years of age, was diagnosed with immunosuppression, vasculitis , rheumatoid arthritis  and was treated with Cytoxan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: multi-organ failure, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy. Cytoxan dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with REMICADE, PLAQUENIL, PREDNISONE, COLCHICINE, FLECAINIDE ACETATE, HYTRIN, ATENOLOL. Patient died on 10/02/2007.

Male patient, 55 years of age, weighting 167.8 lb, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia and was treated with Cytoxan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acidosis, alanine aminotransferase abnormal, aspartate aminotransferase abnormal, blood creatinine abnormal, hypotension, hypoxia, klebsiella infection, multi-organ failure, respiratory failure. Cytoxan dosage: 4600 MG. During the same period patient was treated with FLUCONAZOLE, CHLORDEXIDINE, LEVOTHYROXINE, OXYCONTIN, ACTIGALL, LANSOPRAZOLE, ACYCLOVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, cardio-respiratory arrest, depressed level of consciousness, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, hyperbilirubinaemia, multi-organ failure, neuropathy. Cytoxan dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BUSULFAN, ENBREL, CYTARABINE, METHYLPREDNISOLONE, CAPTOPRIL, CASPOFUNGIN ACETATE, CYCLOSPORINE, DEFIBROTIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 08/18/2007.
