Cytosine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Apr 12, 2007. Male patient, 43 years of age, was diagnosed with burkitt's lymphoma, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome and was treated with Cytosine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood cholesterol increased, blood triglycerides increased, lumbar vertebral fracture, osteonecrosis What is  osteonecrosis, osteoporosis What is  osteoporosis, refusal of treatment by patient, spinal compression fracture, thoracic vertebral fracture. Cytosine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DOXORUBICIN, METHOTREXATE, VINCRISTINE, HYDROCORTISONE, CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, PREDNISOLONE, RITONAVIR, SAQUINAVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
