Cytosine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Jan 15, 2007. Male patient, 43 years of age, was diagnosed with burkitt's lymphoma, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome and was treated with Cytosine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood cholesterol increased, blood triglycerides increased, osteonecrosis , osteoporosis , pain in extremity, spinal compression fracture. Cytosine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DOXORUBICIN, METHOTREXATE, VINCRISTINE, HYDROCORTISONE, CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, PREDNISOLONE, RITONAVIR, SAQUINAVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood cholesterol increased, blood triglycerides increased, lumbar vertebral fracture, osteonecrosis , osteoporosis , pain in extremity, refusal of treatment by patient, spinal compression fracture, thoracic vertebral fracture. Cytosine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DOXORUBICIN, CYTARABINE, TRIMETHOPRIM, METHOTREXATE, VINCRISTINE, HYDROCORTISONE, CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
