Cystagon side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Jan 10, 2005. Male patient, child 9 years of age, was diagnosed with cystinosis and was treated with Cystagon. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cerebral ischaemia, coma, complement factor c3 decreased, compression fracture, convulsion, difficulty in walking, hemiplegia, lower limb fracture, mass. Cystagon dosage: unknown. Patient died on 11/09/2004.

Cystagon side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Apr 21, 2005. Male patient, child 9 years of age, was diagnosed with cystinosis and was treated with Cystagon. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cerebral ischaemia, complement factor c3 decreased, ehlers-danlos syndrome What is  ehlers-danlos syndrome, lower limb fracture, muscular weakness, osteopenia, petechiae, skin lesion, skin striae. Cystagon dosage: 400MG QD, THEN 600MG, QD, THEN 800MG QD, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with CALCIUM GLUCONATE. Patient died on 11/09/2004.
