Cystagon Side Effects Report #5635849-0
Cystagon side effect was reported by a Physician from FRANCE on Feb 11, 2008. Male patient, child 11 years of age, was diagnosed with cystinosis and was treated with Cystagon. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, blood creatinine increased, blood potassium increased, blood urea increased, coma, convulsion, electroencephalogram abnormal, tachycardia. Cystagon dosage: 1600 MG, 100 MG; 4 TIMES A DAY, 200 MG; 4 TIMES A DAY. During the same period patient was treated with CALCIDIA, EPOGEN, GROWTH HORMONE RECOMBINANT, POTASSIUM BICARBONATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, blood creatinine increased, impetigo , joint stiffness, osteonecrosis . Cystagon dosage: DAILY; ORAL; 19.4 MG/KG; DAILY; ORAL; 36 MG/KG; DAILY; ORAL; 5400 MG; DAILY; ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ERYTHROPOETIN, PHOSPHATE, BICARBONATE, INDOMETHACIN, ALFACALCIDOL. Patient recovered.
