Cotrimoxazole Side Effects Report #5500078-8
Cotrimoxazole side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from GERMANY on Oct 09, 2007. Female patient, 46 years of age, was diagnosed with cystitis and was treated with Cotrimoxazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, acute psychosis, agitation, disturbance in attention, hallucinations, mixed, inappropriate affect, incoherent, mental status changes, pyelonephritis. Cotrimoxazole dosage: 2 X 160 + 800 MG. During the same period patient was treated with OPIPRAMOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, agitation, balance disorder, cerebral atrophy, cerebral ischaemia, citrobacter infection, condition aggravated, confusional state, constipation
. Cotrimoxazole dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TRIMETHOPRIM, FAMOTIDINE, MEMANTINE, PAROXETINE, ATORVASTATIN, PRINZIDE, DONEPEZIL. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
