Cotrimoxazole side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Mar 13, 2008. Female patient, 78 years of age, was diagnosed with citrobacter infection, urinary tract infection
, gastrooesophageal reflux disease, dementia alzheimer's type and was treated with Cotrimoxazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, agitation, balance disorder, cerebral atrophy, cerebral ischaemia, citrobacter infection, condition aggravated, confusional state, constipation
. Cotrimoxazole dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TRIMETHOPRIM, FAMOTIDINE, MEMANTINE, PAROXETINE, ATORVASTATIN, PRINZIDE, DONEPEZIL. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
