Male patient, child 4 years of age, weighting 48.00 lb, was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency and was treated with Cortef. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: condition aggravated, fluid retention, gastrooesophageal reflux disease. Cortef dosage: 5MG/2.5 MG 5MG AM, 2.-5 MG PM PO. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 47 years of age, weighting 101.0 lb, was diagnosed with addison's disease  and was treated with Cortef. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure increased, blood pressure orthostatic decreased, blood sodium decreased, cardiovascular disorder, chest discomfort, chest pain , condition aggravated, dehydration. Cortef dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PROVERA, PREDNISONE, CORTISONE ACETATE, PREMARIN, LEVOTHYROXINE, FLORINEF. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
