Competact side effect was reported by a Physician from AUSTRIA on Dec 09, 2008. Male patient, 68 years of age, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and was treated with Competact. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aortic valve sclerosis, arrhythmia , atrial fibrillation , cardiac failure, dyspnoea, oedema peripheral, pleural effusion, pulmonary congestion, tachycardia. Competact dosage: 30 MG PIOGLITAZONE / 1700 MG METFORMIN PER ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with CARVEDILOL, CENIPRES, MARCUMAR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure fluctuation, oedema peripheral. Competact dosage: PIOGLITAZONE 15 MG/METFORMIN 850 MG PER ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE, NOVONORM, METOTHEXAL, DIOVAN HCT, NITRO, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID. Patient recovered.
