Colistin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Apr 01, 2005. Female patient, 34 years of age, was diagnosed with pseudomonal sepsis and was treated with Colistin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: renal impairment. Colistin dosage: 150MG Q8HOURS INTRAVENOUS. Patient recovered.

Colistin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Oct 05, 2005. Male patient, 53 years of age, weighting 101.4 lb, was diagnosed with empyema and was treated with Colistin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, renal impairment. Colistin dosage: 150 MG EVERY 12 HOURS IV. During the same period patient was treated with FOLIC ACID, HEPARIN, THIAMINE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, renal impairment. Colistin dosage: 150MG Q12H INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with MINOCYCLINE, PANTOPRAZOLE, VANCOMYCIN, RIFAMPIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with COLISTIN SULPHATE. Patient recovered.
