Colistimethate side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Nov 22, 2006. Male patient, 59 years of age, weighting 235.9 lb, was diagnosed with acinetobacter infection and was treated with Colistimethate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: paralysis flaccid, quadriplegia. Colistimethate dosage: 140 MG Q24H IV. During the same period patient was treated with ALBUTEROL, AMLODIPINE, CHLORHEXIDINE, CLONIDINE, FENTANYL, GLUCOSE, IMIPENEM, REGULAR INSULIN. Patient recovered.
