Colchicine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Oct 06, 2005. Female patient, 79 years of age, weighting 216.1 lb, was diagnosed with gout  and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abasia, blood creatinine increased, pain , swelling, treatment noncompliance. Colchicine dosage: 0.6 MG PO QD. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, APAP, LANSOPRAZOLE, INSULIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Colchicine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Mar 26, 2009. Male patient, 74 years of age, weighting 149.9 lb, was diagnosed with gout  and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , hyperkalaemia, hypovolaemia, lactic acidosis, nausea , pain , renal failure acute, respiratory failure. Colchicine dosage: 1 TABLET Q1H -MAX 6MG/24H- PO. Patient died on 03/24/2009.

Colchicine dosage: 0.6MG PO BID. During the same period patient was treated with DILTIAZEM, ASPIRIN, TENORMIN, PREDNISONE, COLACE, INDOMETHACINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with SIMVASTATIN, DIGOXIN, FUROSEMIDE, GABAPENTIN, LORATADINE, METOPROLOL, ENSURE, PROPOXYPHENE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
