Colchicine Side Effects Report #5578803-X
Colchicine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Dec 28, 2007. Male patient, 86 years of age, weighting 118.0 lb, was diagnosed with gout  and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, hypotension, leukopenia, post procedural haemorrhage, thrombocytopenia. Colchicine dosage: 0.6MG EVERY DAY PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Colchicine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from KOREA, DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF on Aug 18, 2008. Female patient, 71 years of age, was diagnosed with behcet's syndrome  and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: leukopenia. Colchicine dosage: 1.2 MG, DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with METHOTREXATE. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 58 years of age, was diagnosed with behcet's syndrome  and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: leukopenia. Colchicine dosage: 1.2 MG, DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISOLONE ACETATE, PREDNISOLONE ACETATE, AZATHIOPRINE. Patient died.

Colchicine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from AUSTRALIA on Jan 27, 2009. Male patient, 78 years of age, was diagnosed with arthralgia and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: disseminated intravascular coagulation, leukocytosis, leukopenia, metabolic acidosis, pulmonary oedema, renal failure acute. Colchicine dosage: 0.5 MG, TID. Patient died.
