Colchicine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 26, 2005. Male patient, 78 years of age, weighting 178.8 lb, was diagnosed with gout , dependence on enabling machine or device, hyperparathyroidism secondary and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: diarrhoea, haemodialysis, hypovolaemic shock, hypoxia, tachycardia. Colchicine dosage: 0.6MG DAILY PO. During the same period patient was treated with CINACALCET. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Colchicine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Feb 23, 2005. Male patient was diagnosed with gout , hyperlipidaemia and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, asthenia, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, hypoxia, pain . Colchicine dosage: 0.6 MG DAILY ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with SIMVASTATIN, DIGOXIN, FUROSEMIDE, GABAPENTIN, LORATADINE, METOPROLOL, ENSURE, PROPOXYPHENE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Colchicine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from NEW ZEALAND on June 19, 2007. Male patient, 56 years of age, was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, acidosis, cardiac arrest , diarrhoea, dyspnoea, hypoperfusion, hypoxia, multi-organ failure. Colchicine dosage: 24 MG, SINGLE, ORAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
