Colchicine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Dec 28, 2007. Male patient, 86 years of age, weighting 118.0 lb, was diagnosed with gout  and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, hypotension, leukopenia, post procedural haemorrhage, thrombocytopenia. Colchicine dosage: 0.6MG EVERY DAY PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Colchicine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from NEW ZEALAND on June 19, 2007. Male patient, 39 years of age, was diagnosed with gout  and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , accidental overdose, cardiomyopathy , dehydration, diarrhoea, dyspnoea, epistaxis, hypotension, lung injury. Colchicine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DICLOFENAC POTASSIUM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , acidosis, cardiac arrest , depressed level of consciousness, diarrhoea, hypotension, renal failure acute, vomiting. Colchicine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NSAID, AUGMENTIN, AMOXICILLIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dehydration, diarrhoea, hypoglycaemia, hypotension, tremor. Colchicine dosage: 0.6 MG TID. During the same period patient was treated with ENALAPRIL MALEATE, FUROSEMIDE, GLIPIZIDE, NPH INSULIN, REGULAR INSULIN, SPIRONOLACTONE, EZETIMIBE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
