Male patient, 74 years of age, weighting 149.9 lb, was diagnosed with gout What is  gout and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, hyperkalaemia, hypovolaemia, lactic acidosis, nausea What is  nausea, pain What is  pain, renal failure acute, respiratory failure. Colchicine dosage: 1 TABLET Q1H -MAX 6MG/24H- PO. Patient died on 03/24/2009.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, abdominal pain What is  abdominal pain, acidosis, blood pressure decreased, bradycardia, cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, cardiotoxicity, coma, dyspnoea. Colchicine dosage: 2 MG ONCE INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with LASIX, MORPHINE, COMBIVENT, FOLIC ACID, HEPARIN SQ, PROTONIX IV, NEUTRAPHOS. Patient died on 01/27/2004.
