Colchicine side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Mar 13, 2009. Female patient, 55 years of age, was diagnosed with pericarditis and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal discomfort, asthenia, bone marrow failure, chest pain What is  chest pain, diplopia, dyspnoea, eyelid ptosis, haemoglobin decreased. Colchicine dosage: 0.6 MG, DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with ZYVOX, STEROIDS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 55 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia What is  pneumonia and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bone marrow failure, febrile neutropenia. Colchicine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CLARITHROMYCIN. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bone marrow failure, cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, dyspnoea, lactic acidosis, leukocytosis, metabolic acidosis, multi-organ failure, myocardial infarction. Colchicine dosage: unknown. Patient died.
