Colchicine side effect was reported by a Physician from on May 10, 2005. Male patient, 37 years of age, was diagnosed with pericarditis and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , gastritis, gastrooesophageal reflux disease, nausea , off label use, white blood cell count increased. Colchicine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, LOTREL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , acute respiratory distress syndrome, agranulocytosis, alopecia, asthenia, bacteraemia, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, confusional state, diarrhoea. Colchicine dosage: 7 2MG DOSES INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with CEFTRIAXONE, ZOLPIDEM TARTRATE, TORSEMIDE, ENOXAPARIN, CARVEDILOL, ISOSORBIDE DINITRATE, LEVOTHYROXINE, ESCITALOPRAM OXALATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, abdominal pain , acidosis, blood pressure decreased, bradycardia, cardiac arrest , cardiotoxicity, coma, dyspnoea. Colchicine dosage: 2 MG ONCE INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with LASIX, MORPHINE, COMBIVENT, FOLIC ACID, HEPARIN SQ, PROTONIX IV, NEUTRAPHOS. Patient died on 01/27/2004.
