Codeine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Dec 13, 2005. Female patient, weighting 8.16 lb, was diagnosed with pyrexia and was treated with Codeine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: apnoea, cyanosis, depressed level of consciousness, hypotonia, mental status changes, pneumonia What is  pneumonia, respiratory distress. Codeine dosage: 2 ML, 4.8 MG OF CODEINE, PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Codeine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED KINGDOM on July 12, 2006. Female patient was diagnosed with headache What is  headache and was treated with Codeine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, arterial haemorrhage, arthralgia, depressed level of consciousness, foreign body sensation in eyes, haematuria, haemodialysis, haemodynamic instability, multi-organ failure. Codeine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with IBUPROFEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 02/13/2006.
