Codeine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Aug 08, 2006. Male patient, 82 years of age, was diagnosed with pain
and was treated with Codeine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: delirium, disorientation, haemodialysis, hypovolaemia, influenza like illness, pulmonary oedema, renal failure acute, renal tubular necrosis, rhabdomyolysis. Codeine dosage: UP TO 2400 MG. During the same period patient was treated with PAROXETINE, BROMAZEPAM, ZOPICLONE, PREDNISOLONE, FENTANYL. Patient was hospitalized. and was treated with Codeine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dehydration, delirium, diarrhoea, hallucination, visual, myoclonus, neurotoxicity. Codeine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with OLANZAPINE. Patient recovered.
