Clomipramine Side Effects Report #4718384-3
Clomipramine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from CANADA on July 12, 2005. Male patient, 48 years of age, was diagnosed with major depression and was treated with Clomipramine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood cholesterol increased, blood triglycerides increased, depressed mood, dyslipidaemia, high density lipoprotein increased, skin discolouration, suicidal ideation, total cholesterol/hdl ratio decreased, type iii hyperlipidaemia. Clomipramine dosage: 75 MG/D. During the same period patient was treated with CARBAMAZEPINE, CLONAZEPAM. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anxiety , depressed mood, disturbance in sexual arousal, emotional distress, extrasystoles, heart rate irregular, nervous system disorder, nightmare, orthostatic hypotension. Clomipramine dosage: 120 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with DEPAKOTE, FLUOXETINE, SEROQUEL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
