Ciflox and cardiac arrest Patient Reports February 13, 2012

Ciflox Side Effects Report #5557062-8
Ciflox side effect was reported by a Health Professional from FRANCE on Nov 29, 2007. Male patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with prostatitis and was treated with Ciflox. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, c-reactive protein increased, cardiac arrest , dissociation, eye disorder, genital lesion, haemodynamic instability, hypothermia , leukocytosis. Ciflox dosage: TOTAL DAILY DOSE: 500 MG UNIT DOSE: 500 MG. During the same period patient was treated with ROCEPHIN, PREVISCAN, LASIX, ISOPTIN, ALLOPURINOL, XATRAL. Patient died on 10/15/2007.

Male patient, 75 years of age, weighting 180.8 lb, was diagnosed with lung disorder, atrial fibrillation , atrial flutter, aspergillosis and was treated with Ciflox. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arrhythmia , bradycardia, cardiac arrest , electrocardiogram qt prolonged, infection . Ciflox dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CORDARONE, VFEND, CANCIDAS, OMEPRAZOLE, TARGOCID, CEFTAZIDIME, PROPRANOLOL. Patient recovered.
