Cidofovir side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on July 12, 2007. Male patient, 71 years of age, weighting 202.8 lb, was diagnosed with polyomavirus-associated nephropathy and was treated with Cidofovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. Cidofovir dosage: 25 MG, ONCE, INTRAVENOUS (NOT OTHERWISE SPECIFIED). During the same period patient was treated with PROTONIX, ASCORBIC ACID, VITAMIN, LIPITOR, ALLOPURINOL, LEFLUNOMIDE, MEGACE, PROGRAF. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
