Chlorpromazine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Dec 21, 2005. Male patient, 43 years of age, weighting 193.1 lb, was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was treated with Chlorpromazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood bilirubin increased, cholelithiasis, cholestasis, jaundice , lipase increased. Chlorpromazine dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 83 years of age, was diagnosed with psychotic disorder  and was treated with Chlorpromazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, jaundice , liver disorder, liver injury. Chlorpromazine dosage: unknown. Patient died.

Female patient, 62 years of age, weighting 131.2 lb, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder , mania, schizoaffective disorder and was treated with Chlorpromazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, abnormal behaviour, cholestasis, jaundice , nausea , psychotic disorder , weight decreased. Chlorpromazine dosage: 50 MG TID PO. During the same period patient was treated with CARBAMAZEPINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
