Cefuroxime side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Oct 06, 2008. Female patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection , renal failure chronic and was treated with Cefuroxime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, granulocytopenia, haemoglobin decreased, leukopenia, multi-organ failure, pyrexia, sepsis . Cefuroxime dosage: 2 X 500MG DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with FUROSEMIDE, LISINOPRIL, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT, CALCIUM CARBONATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
