Ceftazidime Side Effects Report #4790102-2
Ceftazidime side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Oct 05, 2005. Male patient, 53 years of age, weighting 167.6 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia  and was treated with Ceftazidime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: febrile neutropenia, pancytopenia, pneumonia , respiratory failure, septic shock. Ceftazidime dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN. Patient died on 07/19/2005.

Female patient, 79 years of age, weighting 110.2 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia  and was treated with Ceftazidime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: coagulopathy, hepatic function abnormal, lung disorder, multi-organ failure, poor peripheral circulation, renal impairment, septic shock. Ceftazidime dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LINEZOLID. Patient died on 11/27/2006.

Ceftazidime side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from FRANCE on Dec 15, 2008. Female patient was treated with Ceftazidime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood glucose increased, csf glucose increased, haemodynamic instability, infantile apnoeic attack, meningitis neonatal, necrotising colitis, septic shock. Ceftazidime dosage: 100 MG/KG/PER DAY/INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN HYDROCHLORIDE, NETILMICIN SULPHATE, METRONIDAZOLE. Patient died.
