Ceftazidime side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Apr 26, 2007. Male patient, 50 years of age, weighting 196.0 lb, was diagnosed with pyrexia, wound  and was treated with Ceftazidime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: erythema, pruritus, pyrexia. Ceftazidime dosage: 1000MG IV ONCE. During the same period patient was treated with LANSOPRAZOLE, PAPAIN, NYSTATIN, OXYCODONE AND ACETAMINOPHEN, CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE, DIAZEPAM, DOCUSATE MINI ENEMA. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 64 years of age, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia and was treated with Ceftazidime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blister, blood culture positive, cerebrovascular accident, diarrhoea, disease progression, ecthyma, endocarditis candida, erythema, fungal sepsis. Ceftazidime dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN, ISONIAZID, FLUCLOXACILLIN, RIFAMPICIN, PYRAZINAMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Patient died.
