Cefpodoxime side effect was reported by a Physician from SWITZERLAND on Nov 06, 2008. Male patient, 82 years of age, was diagnosed with wound infection and was treated with Cefpodoxime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blister, dermatitis exfoliative, epidermolysis, mucosal haemorrhage, oral mucosa erosion, skin haemorrhage, toxic epidermal necrolysis. Cefpodoxime dosage: 200 MG, QD, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with DEANXIT, OMEPRAZOLE, PLAVIX, MADOPAR, CARVEDILOL, DIOVAN, TORSEMIDE. Patient died on 10/23/2008.

Female patient, 76 years of age, was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, ill-defined disorder and was treated with Cefpodoxime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: condition aggravated, dermatitis exfoliative, lymphadenitis, mycosis fungoides. Cefpodoxime dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CLAVUMOX, PRISTINAMYCIN, RHODOGIL, TIAPROFENIC ACID, CIPROFLOXACIN, LEVOCETIRIZINE DIHYDROCHLORIDE, HYDROXYZINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
