Cefixime Side Effects Report #5119918-X
Cefixime side effect was reported by a Physician from FRANCE on Sept 26, 2006. Male patient, 62 years of age, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Cefixime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: condition aggravated, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopenic purpura. Cefixime dosage: 200MG DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with IMMUNE GLOBULIN INTRAVENOUS, PREDNISONE, LIORESAL, GENTAMICIN SULPHATE, CIPROFLOXACIN, AMOXICILLIN TRIHYDRATE, ACETAMINOPHEN W, DEXTROSE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN, CLAMOXIL, ACETAMINOPHEN W, GENTAMICIN SULPHATE, CEFPODOXIME PROXETIL, IMMUNE GLOBULIN INTRAVENOUS, PREDNISONE, LIORESAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: condition aggravated, haemoglobin decreased, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia. Cefixime dosage: 400.00 MG. During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN, DURAGESIC, MORPHINE SULPHATE, TEMESTA, STRESAM, ANASTROZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
