Cefepime side effect was reported by a Health Professional from BELGIUM on Mar 24, 2008. Male patient, 84 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia  and was treated with Cefepime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, aphasia , cardiopulmonary failure, coma, electroencephalogram abnormal, metabolic disorder , myoclonus. Cefepime dosage: unknown. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, aphasia , cardiopulmonary failure, coma, myoclonus. Cefepime dosage: unknown. Patient died.

Cefepime side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on June 13, 2008. Male patient, 92 years of age, weighting 170.9 lb, was diagnosed with abdominal abscess and was treated with Cefepime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asterixis, cardiac failure congestive, cardiopulmonary failure, hypoglycaemia, myoclonus, status epilepticus, toxic encephalopathy. Cefepime dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FUROSEMIDE, ADVAIR DISKUS, METOPROLOL, ARANESP, HEPARIN, OMEPRAZOLE, VANCOMYCIN, AMOXICILLIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
